As noted earlier, by November 2024, the portal had achieved an impressive milestone of 20,000 datasets and over 150 publishers. Today, the platform attracts an average of more than 24,000 visitors and 110,000 page views per month, highlighting its growing importance as a hub for open data. Additionally, Data.gov.ie is now fully HVD-compliant, and all HVDs marked as such on the portal are harvested and made available on the European Data Portal. This integration ensures that Irish datasets contribute to the wider European open data ecosystem, further amplifying their reach and impact.
Over the past ten years, Data.gov.ie has grown from a modest platform with 419 datasets to a robust open data portal hosting over 20,000 datasets from more than 150 publishers.
