As the world’s largest multilateral source of financing for water in developing countries, the World Bank is working closely with partners to achieve “A Water-Secure World for All,” by sustaining water resources, delivering services and building resilience.

With more than 2,680 datasets, global coverage, across 3 Intervention Pillars (Resilience, Services and Sustainable Water Resources) the World Bank Water Data is a one-stop shop for all water-related open data at the World Bank.

We successfully launched the World Bank Water Data portal at wbwaterdata.org this past year. It currently aggregates the largest collection of water data in one place along with curated data visualizations that allow for rapid analysis of water-related development challenges.
Derilinx was instrumental in helping us crystallize this vision of a one-stop-shop for water data and make it a reality. We have had an extremely fruitful collaboration. Building a Data Hub and Apps to help tackle the world’s water quality crisis.

Derilinx is extremely proud to be associated with the great work delivered by the World Bank Water Global Practice to help tackle the world’s water challenge by making data readily available to the World and by building applications that truly make a difference in the field.

World Bank Water Data Hub

Launched in July 2020, the World Bank Water Data Hub counts more than 2,700 datasets organised around three pillars (Sustain water resources, Deliver services and Build resilience) and covers more than 50 countries.

With thousands of visitors every week, World Bank Water Data Hub is amongst the most popular in the world for the sector.

Building Web Applications that leverage data from the Water Data Portal to address specific challenges and support data driven decision-making – wbwaterdata.org/apps.

Women in Water Utilities App

The Woman in Water Utilities App is an interactive application that illustrates the gender gap (and progress to close this gap ) in this important sector of activity based on data collected through the “Women in Water Utilities: Breaking Barriers report, and additional surveys collected as part of Equal Aqua platform”

Funders and utilities can use it to compare their performance to other utilities in their region and globally.

Uncharted Waters App

The Unchartered Waters App, another highlight interactive app, helps visualise and under stand from a data correlation perspective the relationship between rainfall shocks, agricultural production and the resulting impact on food security o ver the past 100 years.
