Derilinx work with Local Authorities and Smart Cities to put in place best practice data sharing processes and deliver data driven impact across key components of the city such as mobility, environment, traffic and economic development.
Smart Dublin is a joint initiative by the four Dublin local authorities, Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council, South Dublin County Council and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. Smart Dublin is the platform for the public sector to engage with entrepreneurs, business, technologists and citizens to find new solutions to city region challenges. A key element underpinning Smart Dublin is the dedicated Open Data Platform provided by Derilinx. Derilinx also provides client-side expert advisory services in the area of Open Data Best Practice, Data Quality, Ecosystem Management as well as a range of Analytics/Web Application services to facilitate access to data (e.g. API) and delivery of powerful data insights.
Derilinx have been a key partner on our Smart Dublin programme supporting the delivery of our Open Data requirements and helping us to achieve key targets through the provision of a reliable publishing platform. The partnership has been instrumental in accelerating the publishing of open datasets across Dublin City Council and delivering a positive impact for Dubliners.

Derilinx supports the Cork Smart Gateway Open Data Portal that provides access to real-time geospatial data. We developed a number of geospatial visualisations for multiple, real-time datasets, including planning application data, car park data and river level data. The CKAN portal is connected with each of the live feeds and updated automatically, so the very latest data is available to users via the interactive map and previews, via the download feature, and programmatically via the dataset’s APIs. On the homepage of data.corkcity.ie, there is a map preview of a number of datasets, including real-time planning applications, water levels, and parking.
