11 Nov A Data Audit, Data Strategy and Data Portal for the Housing Agency – OGP Framework in Action!
Ireland’s Housing Agency is leveraging the OGP Framework for Technical Services for Open Data and Data Management to avail of Derilinx expert services.
The Housing Agency is a government body working with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Local Authorities and Approved Housing Bodies (AHBs) in the delivery of housing and housing services. Their Purpose is to provide expertise and solutions to help deliver sustainable communities throughout Ireland.
The Housing Agency manages a large amount of data, some of which is available on their Data Hub. The organisation recognised that there is an opportunity to identify, share and open more data, that’s why they chose to work with Derilinx to assist them with a range of services such as a Data Audit, a Data Maturity Assessment, Data Publication and Maintenance, as well as to build a fully hosted and managed Open Data Portal.
Data Audit Framework: The Data Audit Framework consists of methodologies, processes and templates for cataloguing. As part of this deliverable, a complete Data Audit will be carried out in partnership with business units/department of the Housing Agency.
Data Maturity Assessment:This provides best practices based roadmap to help organisations manage their data effectively. The assessment will help the Housing Agency implement an evolved data strategy and solution to transform their data analytics processes to deliver business insights consistently.
Data Portal: The Data Portal, built on Derilinx datAdore Open-Source Data Sharing Platform, will cover private, shared and open datasets and will take the form of a Data Hub with managed access from the Public and Housing Agency employees.
Data Strategy: Derilinx will provide a Data Strategy centred on delivering tangible business benefits to the organisation. This strategy will be based on three pillars:
-
- Identified needs and use cases
- Right data and technology supply
- Organisational readiness to produce data and act on insights
A practical outcome focused roadmap structured around the above three pillars will guide the Housing Agency’s effort towards becoming an insight rich organisation.
