The Open Data Unit at the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform, published the new Open Data Strategy for 2023-2027 in November last year.
The new strategy was launched by DPENDR’s Minister Paschal Donohoe at the National Open Data Conference on the 23rd of November 2023.
The goal of this strategy is for Ireland to continue to drive excellence in the provision of Open Data to promote transparency and innovation in Ireland.
The three pillars of the strategy are as follows:
- Support Data Publishers
- Provide services via the Open Data Platform
- Engage Open Data Users to ensure transparency and relevance of the data provided
