open data We are delighted to announce that Derilinx has been awarded by the Office of Government Procurement (OGP) onto the National Framework for the Provision of Technical Assistance and Support to Ireland’s Open Data Initiative. Derilinx has been leading Open Data developments, both in Ireland and internationally, since 2010. We have extensive experience in the provision of fully hosted and managed data solutions, notably managing the Irish National Open Data Portal on behalf of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, as well as collaborating with the Central Statistics Office, the Environmental Protection Agency, Dublin City Council, and the international Natural Resource Governance Institute and Landesa Rural Development Institute.

The Open Data Strategy provides a framework for data to be used to ensure that public services are delivered in a more effective and efficient manner and in a transparent and accountable way.” Patrick O’Donovan T.D., Minister of State with responsibility for Public Procurement, Open Government and eGovernment.
The Open Data Strategy is developed by the Open Data Governance Board (ODGB) in conjunction with the Open Data Unit in the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and presents Ireland’s Vision and Action Plan of the next five years for the further implementation of the Open Data Initiative.
